Application:

Pipeline automatic scanner phased array inspection

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 14

Compatible with various non-destructive testing equipment probes such as phased array, TOFD, eddy current, etc.; ensure that the probe scans the old pipe weld in parallel and at a uniform speed, reduce the labor intensity of operators, reduce human errors, eliminate noise interference, and improve detection efficiency; flexible track, free change of curvature, suitable for pipes above 250mm; dual-wheel drive, the probe can be adjusted in both circumferential and axial directions along the pipe; remote automatic control, encoder can be added; low power consumption, replaceable rechargeable oil, standby time of more than hours; ultra-light material, easy to install and expensive.

Routine weld inspection

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 15
Phased array fan-shaped scanning is used for butt welds, fillet welds, and TKY welds in steel structures, power plant boilers, pressure vessels, transmission pipelines, nuclear power, oil tanks, storage tanks, etc. The primary and secondary waves are used to fully cover the welds, and the line scanning replaces the zigzag scanning, which significantly improves the detection efficiency and reliability.

Phased Array C-Scan Inspection of Composite Materials

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 16

The widespread use of composite materials, especially in aerospace, used to be detected by single probe and single point, which had low detection efficiency and was easy to miss. The cabinet control array push detection method can not only improve the detection efficiency, but also visualize the defects and evaluate the defect area.

Bolt inspection or threaded pipe inspection

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 17

Bolts are used in many flow connections of steel structures. The root diameter cracks of the bolts seriously affect the use of the threads. By using the small angle fan scan of the phased array to cover the thread area of the bolt inspection, it is easy to determine whether the threads have cracks by displaying the results in an image. The CTS-PA32 instrument meets the requirements of the high-temperature bolt field acoustic phased array detection technology in Appendix D of the power standard "DL/T 694-2012 Technical Guidelines for Ultrasonic Testing of High-temperature Fastening Bolts".

PE pipe joint inspection

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 18
The ethylene pipeline electric fusion joint adopts phased array line scanning detection, which can detect good welding, unmelted welding, slag inclusion (mud into sand), overburned welding and cold state. The test results are clear and easy to judge. The heat increase joint of the second adjustment pipeline adopts phased array scanning and sector scanning to cover the entire joint, and all kinds of defects have a high detection rate.

Small diameter pipe weld inspection solution

Phased Array Ultrasonic Detector DSS-PA32 19
At present, the inspection of small-diameter pipe welds is usually carried out by X-ray, but X-ray inspection has high radiation and cannot be carried out at the same time as other types of work, which takes up construction time. Conventional acoustic inspection uses the near-field area of the acoustic field due to the thin wall thickness, and there are many wave-to-weight conversions, which makes it difficult to quantify and identify signals. The inspection results are greatly affected by the level, condition and on-site working conditions of the inspectors. Our company has launched a new self-developed phased array ultrasonic detector, a phased array probe for small-diameter pipe inspection and a chain detector for small-diameter pipes, which are

It provides a one-stop solution for weld inspection. The inspection results are displayed graphically, forming an A+5+C display, which is convenient for defect identification, characterization and measurement. The specially designed curved chip focusing phased array probe and the serialized design meet the requirements of arc modules of various pipe diameters, with higher signal-to-noise ratio and resolution. The specially designed chain scanner is easy to install and test, and can be expanded for different pipe diameters.
