Forging Defect Sorting with Eddy Current Testing

This method induces eddy currents on the surface of the forging and analyzes subtle changes in the eddy current field to identify potential defects.
When a forging contains defects such as cracks, inclusions, or material inconsistencies, they disrupt the normal eddy current path, causing changes in the coil's induced voltage and phase.
Our automated equipment can real-time, high-speed acquire and analyze these signals, comparing them against pre-set acceptance criteria. Upon detecting abnormal signals, the system immediately triggers a sorting mechanism, automatically removing the defective forging from the production line. This ensures 100% online/offline full inspection, guaranteeing product quality and boosting production efficiency. This non-contact method offers high inspection speed, repeatability, and is an ideal choice for efficient defect sorting on forging production lines.
