Our fully automated eddy current testing system is designed for offline inspection of metal tubes and rods. Controlled by a PLC and equipped with advanced sensors, solenoid valves, and adjustable-stroke cylinders, the system delivers seamless, continuous operations including automatic loading, end trimming, flaw detection, marking, sorting, and unloading.
Key Workflow:
1. Automatic feeding and precise centering with a three-jaw self-centering probe box ensure optimal alignment and minimize lift-off effects for accurate testing.
2. The unique floating worktable design allows the probe to follow the curvature of the material, enabling smooth inspection even for bent tubes without compromising sensitivity.
3. All handling stages—loading, rolling, unloading, and chute—feature specialized cushioning to protect thin-walled non-ferrous tubes from mechanical damage.
4. The compact system integrates loading racks, roller conveyors, drive units, and unloading racks for stable, efficient, and user-friendly operation.
Advantages:
- Detects surface, near-surface, and internal defects in various metal bars, seamless/welded tubes, and strips of different cross-sections (round, hexagonal, rectangular, square, etc.).
- Supports both offline and online testing, with external or saddle-type probes for high-frequency welded tubes, ensuring reliable weld quality assessment.
- For large or complex-shaped parts (e.g., crankshafts, turbine blades), point probes and manual or automated scanning enable thorough inspection.
- Flexible auxiliary equipment options allow adaptation to different production environments, including lightweight portable solutions for on-site testing.
This system combines advanced automation, precision, and versatility to deliver efficient, high-quality eddy current inspection for a wide range of metal products.
